The Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), will come into effect on 1 July 2021. It is necessary for ENFC administrators of WhatsApp Groups to obtain your consent to be part of any WhatsApp group regulated and controlled by ENFC. As such, you are herewith notified that you are entitled to refuse such consent and may exercise such a right by leaving ENFC WhatsApp groups before, July 1, 2021.

Should you elect to remain on the WhatsApp groups, it will be accepted that you give consent to being part of the group, and grant access to your personal information (i.e Cell phone number, profile picture, name, surname, and any or other information that will be shared on the group noticeable to any persons in the group including current as well as future members).

In this regard, we request that all members of the whatsapp group, in good faith, will not make use of the personal information pertaining to other members for whatsoever reason, without obtaining the consent of the relevant person. The administrators and members of the group will not be held liable for any consequences flowing from the disclosure of any personal Information on the group. Please respect the privacy of other group members and do not discuss the content of the group with anyone outside the group, unless so required operationally or alternatively with the consent of the person. Please ensure that pictures shared on the groups are not shared on other social media platforms unless permission is granted to do so.
